Why District 17

Representation starts in the community

District 17 is made up of communities with their own character, challenges, and priorities. From Bonshaw and New Haven to Hampton, Emyvale, Kingston, Canoe Cove, Rocky Point, and the surrounding area, people deserve representation that is present, accessible, and willing to listen.

People are working harder, paying more, and expecting government to understand what everyday life actually looks like. That means listening to families, seniors, workers, business owners, farmers, and community organizations before decisions are made.

I believe representation should be practical, responsible, and grounded in the real experiences of the people who live here. It should focus on the issues that affect daily life, including affordability, health care, roads and infrastructure, housing, rural services, and responsible use of public money.

The job begins long before an election. It means showing up, staying involved, earning trust, and making sure the people of District 17 have a strong voice at the table.

Priorities for District 17

The approach I believe in

Strong representation should be grounded in hard work, responsibility, community, and respect, while staying focused on the everyday issues that matter to the people of District 17.

1

Grounded in real life

I know what it means to work with my hands, run a business, employ people, meet deadlines, solve problems, and be accountable for results.

2

Every community deserves a voice

Every community in District 17 deserves to be heard, respected, and included in the decisions that affect its future. Rural communities should never feel like an afterthought.

3

Responsible use of public money

Every public dollar must be treated as though someone worked hard to earn it, because they did. Responsible management should protect essential services while ensuring roads, community infrastructure, and rural priorities receive attention.

4

Politics that includes people

Good representation listens before it speaks. Residents of District 17 deserve a real voice in the decisions affecting their families, properties, businesses, and communities.

5

Present year-round

Representation should not begin and end during an election. It means answering calls, attending community events, staying involved, and being available when people need help.

6

Ready for the future

District 17 should have a strong voice in building PEI’s future. We should welcome new ideas while protecting the traditions, rural character, and community values that make this area special.
